First Read – House fails to pass Balanced Budget Amendment
Again the GOP strikes a blow for ideology. Republicans also know that a nation cannot, especially the US, be limited to an artificial budget restraint The idea of a Balanced Budget Amendment is and has always been a mantra for the GOP. As nice as that would be, the reality of it having any real impact is nonexistent. I wish the GOP would concentrate on a more serious problem.
